Ingredients

  • 4 cups Water
  • 2 tsp Dashi granules
  • 3 tbsp Miso paste
  • 1 package (8 ounces) Silken tofu, diced
  • 2 Green onions, sliced diagonally into 1/2-inch pieces

Notes

  1. In a large saucepan, pour in the 4 cups of water and place it over medium heat.
  2. Sprinkle the dashi granules into the water and stir gently until they dissolve completely.
  3. Add the diced silken tofu to the saucepan and allow it to simmer gently for a few minutes.
  4. Take a small bowl and spoon in the miso paste. Gradually add a ladleful of the hot broth from the saucepan into the bowl and whisk until the miso paste dissolves and blends smoothly.
  5. Pour the miso mixture back into the saucepan and stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Let the soup simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, ensuring it doesn't come to a boil.
  7. Finally, add the sliced green onions to the soup and cook for another minute.
  8. Remove the saucepan from heat and serve the miso soup hot in individual bowls.
