  • Cooking oil
  • Measuring spoons
  • Fork

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Frozen Fish Fillets (Sole or Haddock) - 900 g
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk - 125 ml
  • 2 tsp Salt - 10 ml
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper - 0.5 ml
  • 1/2 tsp Dried Leaf Thyme - 2 ml
  • 1 cup Fine Dry Bread Crumbs - 250 ml
  • 2 tbsp Finely Chopped Parsley - 30 ml
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil - 30 ml

Notes

To prepare the fish, start by allowing it to thaw until the fillets can be easily separated. Next, preheat your oven to 500 °F (260 °C) and grease a 13- x 9- x 2-inch (33-x 23-x 5-cm) glass baking dish with oil. In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, salt, pepper, and thyme, and dip the fish fillets into this mixture. Then, coat both sides of the fish with a mixture of breadcrumbs and parsley.
Place the fillets in a single layer in the prepared baking dish and drizzle them with cooking oil. Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the fish is golden and flakes easily with a fork. Avoid turning the fish during the baking process.
To serve, immediately pair the fish with a hot tartar sauce. Enjoy!
