Ingredients

  • 1 pound Flank Steak
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 4 tbsp Gochujang (Korean chile paste found in the Asian section of most grocery stores)
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 4 tsp Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 4 tsp Sugar
  • 2 packages Beef Ramen (including seasoning + 1 1/2 cups water)
  • ½ White Onion (thinly sliced)

Notes

  1. Begin by slicing the Flank Steak thinly against the grain and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the Oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced Flank Steak and cook until it is browned and cooked through. This should take about 2-3 minutes per side. Once cooked, transfer the beef to a plate and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the Gochujang, Green Onions, Soy Sauce, Rice Vinegar, minced Garlic, Ground Ginger, Sesame Oil, and Sugar. Stir everything together until well combined and the sauce becomes fragrant.
  4. Add the Beef Ramen noodles (without the seasoning packets) to the skillet along with 1 1/2 cups of water. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until they are tender.
  5. Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the seasoning packets that came with the Ramen.
  6. Add the thinly sliced White Onion to the noodles and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the onion softens slightly.
  7. Finally, return the cooked Flank Steak to the skillet and toss everything together, ensuring the beef and noodles are well coated with the spicy sauce.
  8. Serve the Spicy Korean Beef Noodles hot, garnished with additional Green Onions if desired.
Enjoy this mouthwatering and flavorful Korean-inspired dish that combines tender beef, spicy sauce, and comforting Ramen noodles for a deliciously satisfying meal.
