  • 9x13-inch Baking Pan
  • Whisk or electric mixer
  • Heatproof Bowl
  • Saucepan
  • Spatula or wooden spoon
  • Knife and Chopping Board
  • Oven
  • refrigerator

Ingredients

For the Brownie:

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup Salted butter
  • 7 oz Bittersweet chocolate Chopped
  • 5 oz Unsweetened chocolate Chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 4 Eggs

For the Topping:

  • 5 oz Bittersweet chocolate Chopped
  • 2/3 cup Whipping cream
  • 1 cup Chopped chocolate-covered candy (Turtles, Maltesers, After Eight, Rolo, etc.)

Instructions

Preheat and Prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.

Melt the Chocolate and Butter

  • In a heatproof bowl, melt the bittersweet chocolate, unsweetened chocolate, and butter together. You can do this using a microwave or a double boiler method. Stir until smooth and let it cool slightly.

Mix the Batter

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla until well combined. Slowly add the melted chocolate mixture and stir until smooth. Gradually fold in the flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Bake the Brownies

  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan

Prepare the Topping

  • While the brownies are cooling, make the chocolate ganache topping. Place the chopped bittersweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl. In a small saucepan, heat the whipping cream until it just begins to simmer. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for a minute. Stir until smooth and glossy.

Assemble

  • Once the brownies are completely cooled, pour the chocolate ganache over the brownies, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the chopped chocolate-covered candies on top, pressing them lightly into the ganache.

Chill and Serve

  • Place the brownies in the refrigerator for at least an hour to allow the topping to set. Once set, cut into squares and serve. Enjoy your indulgent Triple Chocolate Candy Bar Brownies!

Notes

For an extra gooey and fudgy texture, be cautious not to overbake the brownies. They continue to set as they cool, so removing them from the oven when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs ensures a soft and decadent outcome. Additionally, feel free to experiment with your favorite chocolate-covered candies to personalize the topping and add a delightful surprise in every bite.
