Turkey Divan
Turkey Divan recipe includes cooked turkey chunks, blanched broccoli florets, sliced , butter, all-purpose flour, milk, chunks of cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. The dish is prepared by placing the cooked turkey, blanched broccoli and sliced mango in a large pan and pouring over a cheese sauce made with butter, flour, milk and chopped cheddar cheese. The dish is then topped with breadcrumbs and baked in the oven until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbling. Finally it is removed from the oven and left to cool for a few minutes before serving.

- 1/3 cup Butter or Margarine 80 ml
- 1/3 cup All-Purpose flour 80 ml
- 3/4 tsp Salt 3 ml
- 1/4 tsp Pepper 1 ml
- 3 cups Milk 750 ml
- 1/4 tsp Dry Mustard 1 ml
- 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 ml
- 1 cup Grated old cheddar Cheese 250 ml
- 20 oz pkg Frozen broccoli 560-g pkg
- 1 tsp Salt 5 ml
- 1/4 tsp pepper 1 ml
- 6 large slices Leftover turkey breast 6 large slices
- 2 Egg yolks, Beaten 2
- 6 thick slices tomato 6 thick slices
Notes
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until combined.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and continue to cook until the sauce thickens and begins to bubble.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until it melts.
- Season the cheese sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large baking dish, arrange the cooked turkey, blanched broccoli, and sliced mango in an even layer.
- Pour the cheese sauce over the turkey, broccoli, and mango, making sure to cover them completely.
- Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the top of the cheese sauce.
- Bake the Turkey Divan in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the sauce is bubbly.
- Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
